Prior to DETS, Tannen led business operations, growth, and strategic partnerships & communication as Area Vice President at HCA HeatlhyTrust Workforce Solutions, which helps hospitals and health systems build financial health through consulting and management services, group purchasing and cost-savings programs, and technology solutions for clinical and business operations. 2018 Tannen was selected to the Department of Workforce Services Board of Directors by Governor Hurbert; she additionally served on the Board of Directors of SHRM National and Utah SHRM.
“The program” we are referring to is for medical weight loss (not surgery). It is called the ReSet Metabolic Weight Loss Program©. This is for diabetic or non-diabetic patients (Thyroid, Pre-Perimenopause, Low -T, Prediabetes) looking to lose weight to regain control of their health.
The name says it all. First, we ReSet your metabolism featuring either a prescription of Mounjaro, Trulicity, Wegovy, Ozempic, or off-label diabetes medications in the “GLP-1RA" class (Semaglutide Plus or Tirzepatide Plus).
NOTE * – In non-diabetic people, these medications do not cause low blood sugar. They cause considerable weight loss over time, especially when combined with diet, exercise, and coaching/accountability. It ReSets your metabolism – hence the name, ReSet.
As a member of ReSet, you will work together with a comprehensive team of specialists supporting you at every step. There are three components to ReSet your Metabolism and achieving weight loss successfully and they are:

Q: Why isn’t diet and exercise enough?
A: People used to think weight loss was just a matter of willpower, but it is not. Now we know that obesity is actually a chronic disease. No matter how hard you work to make good choices, your body chemistry changes to get you back to your highest weight. Prescription medication can be used as a solution to ReSet your metabolism and break the cycle of obesity.
Q: What is included in the ReSet Metabolic Weight Loss Program?
A: Initial consultation/comprehensive visit including a full lab panel and body composition analysis. Meet with one of our ReSet medical team specialists to review your medical history and weight loss goals.
Treatment plan. We will create a personalized treatment plan based on your labs, goals, lifestyle needs, and body composition report and choose the best medication and diet plan for you.
On-going support. Monthly in office or telemed visits to manage your medication. Monthly training modules and Weight Loss Wednesdays webinars. Members-only resource center and text/call support to keep your weight loss on track.
Q: Why Diabetes & Endocrine Treatment Specialists + ReSet?
A: Our team of healthcare providers has over 30+ years of experience. We focus on wellness, not illness. Harvard trained Endocrinologist, Diabetologists, Dietitians, and Nutritionists, all working together to achieve weight loss. Medications are dispensed on-site or shipped to your home. We offer both in office and telemed appointments.
Q: How do these medications work?
A: All the medications primarily reduce your appetite and food cravings, so you stop thinking about food, allowing you to make healthier food and lifestyle choices. Some of these medications also increase your metabolism, so you burn more calories.
Q: Do these medications really work? What kind of results can I expect?
A: Other weight loss places may make promises and guarantees, but instead of gimmicks, we prefer to let the science and results speak for themselves. Results depend on individuals, so come and find out what you can achieve.
On Semaglutide, once you reach the full dose at 9-16 weeks, it is typically a steady 1-3 pounds of weight loss a week.
On Tirzepatide, it is common to see weight loss from the start of treatment with continued steady weight loss as the dosage is increased.
Q: How fast can I expect to see results?
A: With Semaglutide, although some people see results immediately, you may only lose weight after 6-8 weeks of treatment. The dose needs to be slowly increased over the first 9-16 weeks.
On Tirzepatide, it is common to see weight loss from the start of treatment with continued steady weight loss.
Q: Is it actually safe to take these injections?
A: Semaglutide is newly approved for weight loss, but it has been approved and used to treat Type 2 Diabetes since 2017. This class of medications (similar to Ozempic, Wegovy, and Trulicity) has been approved since 2005. Semaglutide is also non-addictive and has no known severe or long-term side effects.
Tirzepatide (similar to Mounjaro) is approved for treating Diabetes and is currently on the fast track for FDA approval for weight loss.
Q: Why isn’t everyone who is overweight doing this, then?
A: Many people are; they just did not tell you. About 7 million prescriptions are written every year in the US. Weight loss is never easy to talk about, so many people do not.
Semaglutide and Tirzepatide are newer medications, so people without Diabetes are only starting to learn about them.
