Q: What is a CDCES (Diabetes Educator) and what do they do?

A: It’s a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist.

They used to be called CDEs, Certified Diabetes Educators. But that name didn’t represent all that they do. When asked, a CDE made people think of someone teaching a class. Sure we do that, but oh so much more.

CDCESs are perfectly suited to help you meet your goals and save you money. They changed their name to rebrand and better reflect everything they do.

They provide clinical care and can help improve cardiometabolic conditions; such as diabetes, obesity, hypertension, and cardiovascular disease.

They facilitate the proper use of ever-expanding diabetes technology. They also help match the right device to the patient’s needs.

They support behavioral health. They are “change agents” and help people with diabetes make the most meaningful changes to prevent serious debilitating health problems. In other words, we help you reach these targets:
